As a dedicated physician and passionate musician, I discovered that the art of healing and the art of Carnatic music are deeply intertwined, each enriching the other in profound and unexpected ways.
However, amidst the demanding and often stressful nature of my profession, I found myself yearning for a creative outlet—a way to nourish my soul and find balance amidst the chaos of the medical world.
It was during a chance to encounter with the music enthusiast Mr.Kiran Varsith, CEO of Athreya Academy, Â my love affair with Carnatic music began. Intrigued by the instrument’s ability to evoke emotion and express the ineffable, I decided to embark on a journey of musical exploration, starting with the Carnatic/fusion keyboard lessons. With dedication and perseverance, I immersed himself in the world of music, mastering the intricacies of Thalam, Raagam, Swaram, Kalpanaswaram, Geetham & Krithis.
Moreover, I found that music provided a therapeutic outlet for both myself and my patients. In the midst of the high-stakes environment, I often found solace in the soothing melodies of my keyboard and discovered that music had a profound healing effect on my patients, serving as a source of comfort, inspiration, and hope during their darkest moments of illness and recovery.
Today, I remain steadfast in my commitment in using Carnatic music as a force for healing, harmony, and hope in the world.
